Swaidan supplies 700 Ashok/Sunwin buses in the UAE
Swaidan Trading, the leading provider of commercial bus fleets in the UAE, has delivered more than 700 school buses to UAE schools in the past two weeks to mark the start of the new academic year.
The Euro III turbocharged buses include both Ashok Leyland Falcon and SUNWIN models – all either compliant with RTA & DOT regulations or even exceeding the safety standards set by the authorities.
Ajit Kumar, CEO of Swaidan Trading, said: “When it comes to school buses, we go to great lengths to customise the fleet to meet the highest safety and operational standards. We like to innovate and we were the first bus fleet provider to introduce height adjustable seatbelts to our fleets.”
The success continues the strong growth seen by Swaidan in its sales in 2016, and Kumar predicted would continue for the remainder of 2016, prior to the introduction of new GCC bus regulations in 2017 that will increase manufacturing costs per unit.
The buses were purchased for the fleets operated by Emirates Transport Corporation, School Transport Services and various private schools in the country.
Kumar added: “Our ability to tailor solutions and offer local servicing and maintenance has made us a trusted provider of choice for schools and school fleet operators in the UAE.”
Over the past 30 years, Swaidan Trading has led the way in providing safe transport for UAE students, and other safety features that are now commonplace across Swaidan Trading fleets include Wi-Fi enabled cameras, RFID passenger monitoring and a strong maintenance and support network.
Swaidan also led efforts within the local bus sector to develop customer comfort and entertainment.
