Milestone reached with nearly 6,500m3 of concrete poured

Dubai, UAE, 28 August 2017 – Al Naboodah Construction Group (ANCG), part of SAEED & MOHAMMED Al Naboodah Group, one of the UAE’s oldest and most respected family conglomerates with a diverse portfolio of businesses, has been awarded the contract for Creekside 18, a waterfront residential project in the 6km2 Dubai Creek Harbour mega-development by Emaar Properties in a joint venture with Dubai Holding.

Emaar awarded the contract following the successful completion of two other projects in Dubai Creek Harbour – the Dubai Creek Harbour Sales Centre and the Promenade in the final quarter of 2016.

The contract comprises the construction of two 37-storey residential towers, each with residential units, technical floors, penthouses and commercial units, plus external works and landscaping. Overall works, which commenced earlier this year, have been on-track with substructure and in situ concrete superstructure progressing.

A recent milestone was the pouring of close to 6,500 cubic metres of raft slab concrete – a multi-day, continuous operation involving 50 transit mixers, 4 concrete pumps and 800 round trips to ANCG’s production facility in Al Awir. This considerable engineering feat was supported by ANCG’s in-house ready mix concrete business, and is a testament to Al Naboodah Construction Group’s expertise and capabilities.
