The Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group releases its 4th Sustainability Report
The Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group has just released its 4th Sustainability Report covering its work on sustainability during 2015.
Mr Abdullah Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah, Chairman of Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Holding, comments:
“With this report we engage new and existing audiences helping to lead the way with CSR, as one of UAE’s leading brands. We have seen great advances in our reporting, but our journey is far from complete. With a culture of innovation and continued engagement with our partners, our Group can continue to be a strong influence for progressive growth and positive change”.
Melissa Clements, Group Chief Corporate Communication & Marketing Officer, Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Holding LLC added:
“The Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group has committed to sustainability for our partners and the communities around us. This year’s neat and concise edition follows the Company’s sustainability main guidelines and is rooted in four leadership priorities”.
Helping the community: A mixture of cash and other donations, such as clothes and canned food, are given to charities and, in a twice-yearly drive, the Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group’s employees are encouraged to donate tangible goods alongside the company’s donations.
The Group supported a number of charities in the UAE for 2015 which included the Beit Al Khair Society, Emirates Red Crescent, Dubai Women’s Association, plus a number of charities in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.
Protecting the environment: The report updates the Group’s efforts to reduce the carbon footprint and energy consumption. Internally, the Group works hard to reduce waste, and runs employee engagement programmes, promoting more recycling and encouraging energy saving ideas.
Sustaining a healthy marketplace: Providing clients with accurate information relating to our services and products, to enable them to make informed purchase decisions has always been a priority in the Group’s dealings with its customers and partners. The conglomerate has a very strong brand name based upon its good reputation.
Developing our workplace: Any business is only as good as its employees. This is what drives the Group to further develop its workforce in any way possible to maintain its status as one of the preferred employers in the UAE. The Group encourages a healthy and active lifestyle amongst its workforce, running health awareness initiatives across internal communication channels, raising awareness about health and the importance of being healthy. It continually runs health and safety training sessions across numerous companies too.
2015 was another successful year for the Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group with regards to sustainability and this encourages us to focus even more in 2016 to build on that success, and to encourage good corporate citizenship to enhance the company’s reputation with employees, customers, business partners and other stakeholders.
