Al Naboodah celebrates Dubai Boat Show success
Logistics specialist Al Naboodah Cargo Centre LLC is celebrating the close of this year’s Dubai International Boat Show 2016, held from 1-5 March at Dubai’s International Marine Club (DIMC).
Showcasing 430 of the finest collection of super yachts and leisure craft from across the globe, the show is the MENA region’s number one marine luxury, leisure and lifestyle event.
As the logistics partner to Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the organisers of the boat show, Al Naboodah Cargo Centre handled the shipping and logistics required in getting over 430 boats on show at the event.
“We are delighted to have supplied the logistics at this big event that is rapidly becoming a favourite on the Middle East’s calendar and that sees participation by big companies from around the globe,” said Raed Hiasat, general manager, Al Naboodah Cargo Centre.
“We used a number of diverse techniques in transporting and positioning the boats, yachts and submarines. Extra caution and care were needed to load and offload the boats,” Hiasat adds. “The unsymmetrical and different shapes of the boats and marine pieces meant that we had to design a unique handling plan for each vessel. Everything was done using our own forklifts, cranes and manpower.”
Al Naboodah Cargo Centre will also handle the logistics for the upcoming CABSAT Show; the MENA region’s broadcast, satellite and entertainment show, from 8-10 March.
