Work for Al Naboodah Construction Group on Sowwah Island currently involves the
design and build of four bridges, with 6km of elevated carriageway. In addition
it needs to create a complete utility network to handle requirements for sewerage,
storms, fire, irrigation, telecom, potable water, high voltage/low voltage power,
service level roads, utility tunnels, 3km of quay wall and a pump station. In total,
50,000 m3 of reinforced concrete work will be in place by completion of this work,
including substantial post-tensioning of pre-cast and in-situ elements of the structures.
