This project involved the construction of 16 substation buildings and 32 mini-substations
at various different locations on the EMAL smelter complex. The work included construction
of;
- all civil, concrete, structural steel, architectural and
building services, instrumentation and controls required
- the substations have an average footprint size of 25m x 15m
and are single storey with the exception of the four reduction area
substations which are double storey buildings
- all super structures are constructed in concrete with block
work infills and plastered and painted
- the mini-substations are made of Concrete (RC) with a footprint
of 6m x 4m.
